Entrepreneur and talent manager Scooter Braun, known for guiding music stars like Justin Bieber and Ariana Grande, expanded his collection of high-value properties with the acquisition of a Santa Monica office building. Braun secured the 24,000-square-foot property at 3355 Barnard Way for $26 million. The previous owner was 3355 Barnard Way LLC, associated with fashion designer Diane von Furstenberg’s family, who had purchased it for $16.5 million from the Broad Art Foundation, led by billionaire Eli Broad. In the 1980s and 1990s, Eli Broad showcased his art collection in this 96-year-old building.
Sources indicate that Braun intends to transform the space into a creative hub for arts and music. The property, situated in Santa Monica’s Ocean Park neighborhood, had been on the market for several months with an initial listing price of $32 million, as reported by the Wall Street Journal. Real estate agents Drew Meyers and Kurt Rappaport from Westside Estates Agency facilitated the transaction, representing both the seller and the buyer.
The four-story building boasts amenities such as a rooftop deck with a lawn, multiple lounging areas, and a skate ramp, providing scenic views of downtown Santa Monica. Additionally, the location falls within a high-density residential zoning area, according to its PropertyShark listing.
