This weekend, Lucky Strike Entertainment is set to unveil a massive 30,000-square-foot bowling complex at the Beverly Center, marking a significant expansion for the company in one of Los Angeles’ most prestigious neighborhoods. The venue promises to be more than just a typical bowling alley, featuring 22 glow-in-the-dark lanes, an extensive arcade with over 60 games, a prize store, and an upscale bar with signature cocktails and dining options.
The venue’s design is particularly noteworthy, with the CEO of Bowlero which owns Lucky Strike describing it as the company’s most impressive project to date. Inspired by Old Hollywood glamour, the space features brass and gold accents and art deco finishes, evoking the atmosphere of a 1930s supper club with a bowling twist. The company viewed this project as a significant risk, given the area’s high rents and limited space, but also as a statement of confidence in their concept.
This new location in Los Angeles comes on the heels of a $90 million acquisition of Lucky Strike Entertainment, which added 14 bowling centers to Bowlero’s large national portfolio of around 360 locations across 36 states. California remains the company’s strongest market, with approximately 70 locations, including recent additions in Hollywood, downtown Los Angeles, and Orange County.
Bowlero has grown substantially over the past few years from a single location generating $1 million annually to a business generating over $1 billion in revenue with 13,000 employees. California locations are especially successful, with average sales about twice the national benchmark.
The Lucky Strike Beverly Hills location opens today, Saturday, December 7th, at 8500 Beverly Blvd.
