After struggling to maintain its appeal as a retail destination due to the double whammy of online shopping and destination malls such as the $1 Billion-renovated Century City Mall (which stole its major tenants), the Westside Pavilion owners have decided to convert it to office space.

The conversion potentially will pay off due to the high demand for office space on the Westside of Los Angeles. The floorplan of the property will lend itself to appealing layouts for the many tech firms based nearby.

The renovation is set to be finished by mid-2021 and cost approximately $450 million
